What I do
Which method suits you is decided on the day, after a proper look.
Ear check & otoscopy
A clear look inside both ears and a plain explanation of what's there.
Microsuction
Fine medical suction lifts wax out under magnification. No water, no mess.
Irrigation (syringing)
Warm water at gentle, controlled pressure flushes softened wax away.
How it works
Four steps, no surprises.

Pick a slot online or ring me. A short health form arrives by email.
I come to you
Everything needed fits on a kitchen table. Both ears checked first.
Wax removed
Not painful — noisy, then startlingly quiet. Usually 20 minutes.
Aftercare
A final look, advice on keeping ears clear, and kit sanitised before it leaves.
Questions
Does it hurt?
No. Microsuction is noisy rather than painful. Irrigation feels like warm water. Anything uncomfortable, say so and we stop.
Should I use drops first?
It helps. Olive oil drops for three to five days beforehand soften the wax and make removal quicker.
What if there's no wax?
You pay £15 for the check and nothing more, plus an honest answer about what to do next.
Is there anything that would stop you treating me?
Recent ear surgery, a known perforation, infection, discharge or sudden hearing loss. The booking form asks about these, and if it's safer to see your GP first you'll be told before paying anything.
